After much anticipation we're thrilled to announce that "A Molecule of Perfect", a textile exhibit by Richard Boulet and Marilyn Olson, will be available as a virtual tour on our website beginning September 24th. Healthcare workers can view the exhibit in-person at the After Hours Gallery located across from McMullen Gallery starting October 18th. This series of large-scaled, layered, and complex textile collages were originally scheduled to exhibit back in March 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A collaborative work between the artists, this exhibit incorporates Richard’s improvised cross-stitch, Marilyn’s planned or patterned crochet, and elements of text and imagery.
We’re so excited to finally bring this exhibit to you. Be sure to take a moment and read fellow artist Mark Clintberg’s essay about Marilyn and Richard’s work!
This exhibit is part of our virtual tour programming and was captured by Blaine Campbell with funding provided by the University Hospital Foundation. Thank you!
