We're so excited to share this. A year ago, Lauren Crazybull’s exhibit, “The Future All at Once”, was one of our most visited (and most powerful) exhibits we’ve had in the gallery. Using acrylics on canvas, Lauren used the tradition of portraiture to reframe and confront representation of Indigenous people.
Her piece “Power & Vulnerability” (pictured above) won the Eldon and Anne Foote Visual Arts Prize, which was announced last night via ZOOM.
