The Friends of University Hospitals is excited to announce that we will join the University Hospital Foundation (UHF) by way of acquisition. We look forward to being supported by the UHF as we deliver beloved programs and services that enhance patient, staff, and family experience. We will continue serving the hospital community at the Gift Shop and enriching the hospital with our Arts in Health Programs: The Artists on the Wards, The UAH Art Collection and McMullen Gallery. We are also thrilled to explore the possibility of re-establishing the Nancy Lieberman Special Purpose Fund.

UHF and Friends have discussed the benefits of this potential opportunity over the last several years, and during the last year through a rigorous due diligence process – culminating in a special vote from both organizations’ boards – the acquisition has been finalized.

Through this acquisition, the UHF has warmly welcomed all Friends’ staff members, and there will be no changes to our current volunteer programs in the Gallery, Gift Shops and Artists on the Wards Program. We are excited be a part of UHF’s Ignite 2030 plan and an impactful future together. The transaction will take effect on July 10, 2023.
